The EPRDF HQ consists of 2 basement parking lots, a tower with 2 basements, ground, and 9 stories, podium with 2 basements and 4 upper stories and atrium, and hall with a capacity of about 1,000 people. This structural construction on a total of 6,000 m2 of the plot on which 24,000 m2 of the gross area would be built features no seismic and/or expansion joints. Housed functions include large span meeting spaces with mezzanine and large column spaces, heavily loaded cantilever meeting slabs, VIP lounges, museum, recreational spaces, basement parking in the presence of highly differential loading, and high groundwater and atrium space with heavy double pane glass skylight spanning 42 m on supports.
