Multi-Choice Apartment project entailed the design of a B+G+8 building. The building lies on a plot area of 500 m2. Optimized ductile walls provide lateral stability both for seismic safety and comfort of end-users for sustained wind loads. For Seismic wall with opening, reinforced concrete diagonals link columns which are used as shear wall parts that are separated by large openings, so that the wall parts act as a unit when resisting lateral loads. Transfer girders are used on the first-floor level to transfer load coming from discontinuous columns above the first-floor level so that the parking is better fit for its purpose with enhanced space for vehicle maneuver.
